Case Book
Case Studies in Inclusive Teaching in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) is a workbook for facilitating discussions about diversity among faculty, administrators and graduate students. The center of the workbook is a series of one-page case studies of challenging educational situations. The table below was written to guide users of this book to relevant cases pertaining to issues that an instructor or student may face in a classroom, teaching lab, faculty office, department, and/or on campus. For instance, if one wanted to look up a case related to “learning style” in the context of a classroom, the table indicates that the “Mike Bertal” case would be the relevant case for this topic. Please note that the cases addressed in this book are not restricted to the contexts indicated by the following table.
Facilitation instructions, presentation slides, and discussion material provide context for the case studies. Future versions of this book will provide greater online interactivity and more in-depth coverage of the issues. View the Case Book online. For information on obtaining a printed copy of the Case Book, please download the resource order form. Pricing: Conceived and developed by Sherrill L. Sellers. |
