SUMMARY:Exploring Teaching Careers at Teaching Intensive Universities with CIRTL Alumni
DESCRIPTION:In this online panel\, we’ll hear from CIRTL alumni who have pursued faculty careers at teaching-intensive colleges and universities. Our panelists teach in neurogenetics\, sociology\, criminology\, and other STEM-related fields. They will discuss what their positions are like\, how they became interested in teaching\, how they transitioned into their current roles\, how they balance teaching with other faculty responsibilities\, and what professional growth can look like at teaching-intensive institutions. \nSpeakers\n\nShaun Davis\, Assistant Professor\, Hollins University\nAlyssa LaBerge\, Assistant Professor of Sociology and Criminology\, University of Wisconsin–La Crosse\nStephanie Zaleski\, Assistant Professor\, California State University\, East Bay\n\nThis is the second event in our four-part series\, “Exploring Career Paths with CIRTL Alumni.” \nEvent Schedule\nThis online event meets on Monday\, November 9\, from 9-10pm Gulf / 12-1pm Eastern / 11am-12pm Central / 10-11am Arizona / 9-10am Pacific. \nAudience\nThis event is designed first and foremost for graduate students and postdoctoral researchers in STEM and SBE disciplines who are exploring potential career paths\, but it is generally relevant to anyone interested in understanding career trajectories within academia and beyond. \nRegistration\nREGISTER NOW \nThis event has no registration cap.
