The Teaching Support Specialist will work with the Center for Teaching Innovation (CTI) Graduate Program to support all graduate teaching assistants in their university teaching responsibilities. The TSS will design, develop and facilitate a range of teaching development programs for graduate students, including workshops, institutes, learning communities and department collaborations. They will contribute to the administration and evaluation of graduate programming at Cornell. Additional responsibilities may include developing and teaching courses on pedagogy in higher education.

The TSS will also contribute to CTI’s faculty development initiatives. They will join a team supporting CTI’s mid-semester feedback program, course observations, department workshops, individual consultations and other efforts. The Center is a large, highly collaborative group, and the TSS will interact with colleagues who have a wide range of skills and experiences.

This is a full time, 40 hour/week, on campus position (within daily commuting distance from Ithaca, NY). Some hybrid activities are possible, but the employee will be expected to be on campus regularly and frequently. Fully remote work is not available for this position.
