Associate Dean for Academic Affairs
The College of Health Sciences and Technology (CHST) at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) invites applications and nominations for the full-time, 12-month, tenure-track or tenured position of the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and an academic rank commensurate with experience in teaching and scholarship at the Associate Professor or Professor level. The Associate Dean for Academic Affairs will report to the Dean and provide college-level leadership, management and oversight of all academic affairs of the College. The service term is three-years and renewable based on the performance and the growth of the College.

Assistant Professor of Spanish
The Department of Modern Languages and Cultures at the Rochester Institute of Technology invites applications for a tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of Spanish starting in August 2024. A Ph.D. (in hand by August 2024) in Spanish or a closely related field is required. Candidates are expected to have native or near-native proficiency in both Spanish and English.
Responsibilities include (1) teaching undergraduate Spanish language courses at all levels, (2) teaching courses for the Spanish track of the Applied Modern Language and Culture degree program and for the Latino/a, Latin American Studies minor and immersion, (3) teaching and developing courses in English about Hispanic literatures and cultures, (4) conducting scholarship in area of specialization, (5) providing service to the Spanish program, such as curriculum development and student advising, (6) participating in committee work and attending meetings, for both the department and the college.
The ideal candidate will have successful experience teaching undergraduate Spanish language courses as well as undergraduate courses about Hispanic literatures and cultures. The candidate is expected to maintain an active research agenda and show promise for substantial contributions to their field. We are interested in candidates who demonstrate commitment to collaborate with the Spanish faculty to grow its curriculum, and participate in the advising of students pursuing a Spanish immersion, minor, or major. Interest in collaborating with faculty outside of the Spanish program is also an asset for this position.

The OTD program will be housed in the Wegmans School of Health and Nutrition, joining the Nutritional Sciences and Exercise Science undergraduate programs, and graduate programs in Dietetics and Nutrition and Health and Well-being Management. The program is planned to meet Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) accreditation requirements.
