Assistant Professor in Public Policy

The Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) seeks applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Policy beginning in the 2024-25 academic year. The program is seeking a teacher-scholar who can contribute to high-quality undergraduate and graduate education and pursue a high-quality, active research agenda. The area of specialization is open, but the successful candidate should demonstrate a clear interest in science and technology policy issues, such as health related (medical and bio-) technology, computer and information technology, technology innovation, data science, and sustainable technology. The successful candidate will demonstrate potential for effective teaching at the undergraduate and masters levels, a strong research agenda, and service to the university and community. Candidates with backgrounds that integrate science and engineering fields with the social sciences or humanities are encouraged to apply. A Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in an appropriate field is required prior to the position start date.

Assistant Professor in the Department of Management

The Saunders College of Business, which is broadly positioned at the intersection of technology, innovation, and management, invites applications for one or more full-time, tenure-track assistant professor positions within the Department of Management Department. Candidates that are close to completing or have competed their doctoral degree in technology innovation, management of innovation, strategy, or related areas are encouraged to apply. Assistant professors with prior experience will be considered. Teaching load is 2/2 for pre-tenure faculty and is either four or five following tenure depending on research productivity. Potential teaching responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate technology innovation, management of innovation, and strategy, courses.

Assistant/Associate Professor in Robotics/Controls

The Department of Electrical and Microelectronic Engineering at the Rochester Institute of Technology invites applications from candidates in the area of Robotics/Controls in assistant or associate professor ranks based qualifications. Exceptional candidates qualifying for appointments at the associate rank or above will be considered for the Gleason Endowed Professorship in the Electrical and Microelectronic Engineering department. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field. The candidate’s research must specialize in robotics / control, and must have published in refereed journals and conferences based on their Ph.D. dissertation and any subsequent research work. Candidates must have a strong aptitude and interest in undergraduate and graduate teaching; a strong potential for establishing and conducting sponsored research; excellent written and oral communication skills; and ability to contribute in meaningful ways to the university’s continuing commitment to cultural diversity, pluralism and individual differences. Faculty responsibilities include teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, establishing and conducting sponsored research programs, and providing service to the university and professional community.

Visiting Lecturer in Software Engineering and Data Science

The Department of Software Engineering at the Rochester Institute of Technology invites applications for a Visiting Lecturer position in software engineering and data science. Visiting Lecturers contribute to the academic mission of the Software Engineering Department and will be responsible for course preparations, formal classroom and lab teaching, new lecture, and lab course development. The candidate for this position should have experience in the areas of software engineering, AI, and/or data science. Visiting Assistant Professor of Performing Arts

The Department of Performing Arts at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf invites applications for one faculty position at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor. This is a full-time, 9-month, non-tenure-track faculty position in the field of performing arts (theatre) with the possibility of summer contract, when necessary. This position is a temporary appointment for a maximum of three academic years. Areas of teaching will involve courses in theatre and ASL performance. Other responsibilities will involve supporting department productions. Areas of scholarship will involve performing arts with evidence of peer-reviewed dissemination or graduate work towards a doctorate degree.
