As we close out a momentous year of celebrating our 30th anniversary and reimagining our areas of focus, The Searle Center for Advancing Learning and Teaching is excited to launch our search for an Assistant Director of Pedagogy and Curricular Development, who will contribute to our vision of empowering Northwestern University instructors and programs to create transformative learning experiences so that all students can thrive. Since 1992 the Searle Center’s mission has been to advance learning. We aspire to spark curiosity, expand evidence-driven teaching practices, deepen engagement, and center diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice.
Guided by the Director of Pedagogy & Curricular Development, the Assistant Director will expand the capacity and range of expertise in our Center. Our educational developers work in integrated ways across the Center’s four strategic priorities to: 1) Advance reflective & evidence-based pedagogical practices; 2) Promote inclusive teaching that fosters belonging; 3) Stimulate assessment to drive substantive course/curricular development; and 4) Expand the Center’s reach and visibility.

PhD preferred along with 4 years program/project development/administration and 2 years higher education experience.
