Visiting Lecturer at The Department of Software Engineering
The Department of Software Engineering at the Rochester Institute of Technology invites applications for a Visiting Lecturer position in software engineering and data science. Visiting Lecturers contribute to the academic mission of the Software Engineering Department and will be responsible for course preparations, formal classroom and lab teaching, new lecture, and lab course development. The candidate for this position should have experience in the areas of software engineering, AI, and/or data science. Professor of Practice: K-12 STEM Education
The primary purpose of this position is to develop, organize and provide in-depth training, mentoring, guidance, professional development and evaluation for K-12 teachers of the deaf, with a focus on STEM education. This may also include graduate students in teacher preparation programs for the deaf. This position will promote understanding about opportunities for DHH individuals in STEM careers among middle and high school students, teachers, counselors, and vocational rehabilitation (VR) counselors. We recognize the need to improve the instructional and technical skills of high school teachers in STEM areas.

Assistant Professor at The NTID Information & Computing Studies Department
The NTID Information & Computing Studies Department at RIT is seeking to fill a full-time 9-month tenure track faculty position with an individual whose particular strengths are focus in computer hardware, programming, Internet of Things, database and who can work collaboratively with other faculty to achieve ICS’ defined goals and outcomes. Instructional responsibilities include teaching and tutoring students in ICS programs as well as deaf and hard-of-hearing students supported by NTID in RIT’s Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences’ bachelor’s degree programs. Additional responsibilities include; curriculum development, service to the Institute and Department, continuing professional development and scholarship activities.
Visiting Assistant Professor at The Department of Liberal Studies
The Department of Liberal Studies at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf invites applications for one faculty position at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor. The position is a 9-month, non-tenure track appointment for 3 academic years. Review of applications will begin immediately until the position is filled.
The Visiting Assistant Professor will:
- Participate in the NTID Faculty Fellowship (NFF) program.
- Teach developmental English courses to deaf and hard-of-hearing students.
- Attend professional development activities.
- Participate in communication development activities.
- Participate in antiracism, diversity, and inclusion development activities.
- Participate fully in the department’s curricular initiatives and related faculty duties.
- Serve the department, institute, and the community as needed.
Non Tenue Track Lecturer at the Master Science and Secondary Education Program
The MSSE program is looking for one Non Tenure Track lecturer position. The primary purpose of this position is to teach courses, mentor students in the program and advise students through the completion of the MSSE program. The goal is to prepare students to become teachers of deaf and hard-of-hearing students at the elementary, middle and secondary level. This is a non-tenure track position. This position will start August 2024.
