Postdoc Teaching Practicum
Work with an experienced instructor in your discipline to enhance your understanding and experience of teaching a university course in this semester-long mentorship program. No cap (registration is limited to CIRTL members and alumni).
Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs)
CIRTL MOOCs take place on the EdX platform and use video-based modules, discussion boards, and peer-reviewed assignments to teach participants about different aspects of evidence-based STEM teaching over the course of 8 weeks. An Introduction to Evidence-Based Undergraduate STEM Teaching
Learn about STEM teaching at your own pace through online video modules and discussion boards in this 8-week MOOC developed by CIRTL Network faculty. No cap.

Ethical Dilemmas in Inclusive Teaching: A Case Discussion
Analyze a case study with fellow future faculty to explore common challenges that instructors experience and discuss inclusive solutions to those challenges in this one-session workshop. Cap: 25.
Finding Your Teaching Mentor
Draft a teaching development plan that reflects your local context and academic goals, and explore ways to find a mentor for your teaching development in this two-session workshop. Cap: 30.
Getting Started with Universal Design for Learning
Explore the basic principles of Universal Design for Learning and apply them to resources or practices you use in your own teaching in this two-session workshop. Cap: 75.
Supporting Neurodivergent Students
Learn about common forms of neurodiversity, the obstacles that neurodiverse students might encounter in academia, and teaching strategies to overcome those obstacles in this one-session workshop. Cap: 50.
Writing an Effective Teaching Philosophy Statement
Draft a peer-reviewed teaching philosophy statement that reflects your teaching beliefs and experiences in this two-part workshop. Cap: 50.
Events
Events have live, real-time online sessions; event series include a handful of events that revolve around a unifying theme in STEM teaching and learning. Events run on a drop-in basis and do not require advance registration. Participants can attend as many or as few events as they like in a given series.
Exploring Careers in Teaching at a Community College (event series)
Become familiar with teaching careers at community colleges in this three-part series that explores the joys and challenges of teaching at a community college, the broad diversity of students in their courses, how that diversity enhances learning, and the ins/outs of finding a full-time teaching position at a community college. No cap.
