The School of Art in the College of Art and Design invites applicants to apply for a one-year, non-tenure track visiting lecturer position in our Illustration program. The appointment begins August 14, 2024. The ideal candidate will teach a full load of introductory illustration undergraduate courses. The range of student experience in the Illustration BFA program requires the candidate to demonstrate outstanding skills including strong draftsmanship, the ability to visualize concepts, and contribute to the program through critiques, portfolio reviews, and curricular design.
Responsibilities include:
- Teaching a full load, 7–8 courses per academic year
- Working with faculty on program and curricular development
- Rendering service to the Illustration program and School of Art
- Career advising and mentoring students
