Exploring Academic Careers Beyond the Professoriate with CIRTL Alumni
In this online panel, we’ll hear from CIRTL alumni who have built careers supporting faculty, teaching, and STEM education beyond traditional professor roles. Our panelists work in faculty affairs, future faculty development, and STEM program implementation, offering perspectives from a medical school, a center for teaching and learning, and a university-based STEM education program. They will discuss what their positions are like, how they became interested in this work, how their doctoral training and CIRTL experiences prepared them for their roles, and what professional growth can look like in these career paths.

This online event meets on Monday, November 16, from 9-10pm Gulf / 12-1pm Eastern / 11am-12pm Central / 10-11am Arizona / 9-10am Pacific.
Audience
This event is designed first and foremost for graduate students and postdoctoral researchers interested in academic careers beyond the professoriate, but is generally relevant to anyone interested in understanding career trajectories within academia and beyond.

This event has no registration cap. Registration will remain open until the event begins on Monday, November 16.
